Under the direction of MANSON and the production of CANADA, we participated in the last campaign for Cupra. Moreover, we have been very lucky to collaborate with Rosalia.
The project rescues the famous singer’s alphabet, to recreate it with characteristics, concepts, and ideas of the Cupra brand.
We were commissioned to develop most of the letters with CG and/or animation, each one with its corresponding sequence. It has been a real challenge, as the film is made up of more than 40 different scenes.
Each letter is integrated into its own sequence and has been designed with both 3D and 2D techniques. Bliss also created entire full scenes in 2D animation, 3d style, and IA processed.
B FOR BOILER
We generated in 3D the animation to make a print of the models and create this zoetrope in a physical prop.
B FOR BARCELONA
We created this simulation with textures that replicate a modernist trencadís but in an organic way on the letter B
D OF DESIGN
To represent the letter D, we used 3D renders and motion graphics to create an interface that shows the creative process of developing a model.
E FOR ELECTRONIC
For the letter E, we generated the energy beams that accompany the camera entering the hood of the car and traced in a very natural way the initial letter.
I OF IMPULSE
In this case, we created an anime scene in which a character is propelled into space, recreating a visual universe that takes us back to traditional Japanese animation.
F FOR FORMENTOR
On the rolled material, we produce a metallic letter F that reacts with the impact of the car and converts the shape into particles.
For the Forward scene, we generated the entire environment over which the car travels towards a galactic nebula in the shape of F
M FOR METAHYPE
For the footage of the contemporary dancer, we created different outfits in 3D with fabric simulation that we integrated into the footage. We also intervened the background so that the scene is transferred to Cupra’s Metahype and integrated the letter M
N OF NEW ERA
For the letter N, we used artificial intelligence tools to reinterpret the footage and create this lysergic transition between shots.
R FOR ROSALIA
For the letter R, we created the integration of the initial with analog processes to achieve the crafty look we were looking for.
U FOR UNSTOPPABLE
For the letter U we created this tulip that breaks the metallic flange that traps it. Looking for a realistic look, we photo-scanned the tulip to have a model that would allow us an organic simulation.
